Wraithling's Den
Post by William "Wraithling" Weaver on Mar 12, 2007, 11:37pm

Will's bed covers most of the floor. What little space is left is taken by his dresser which is filled with new clothes that Emma ordered him to buy so he'd stop looking so trashy. He has a laptop, Optimus Prime, and a half empty bottle of pop sitting on top of it. One of the walls of Will's room is covered with the huge plasma T.V. Joe got him for "Christmas." Hooked up to it is a game system he bought with the leftover clothes money. On the other wall, resting on hooks, is the stun gun he took as a trophy from their first adventure. A fire extinguisher sits in the corner.

At the mall Will doesn't have a room so much as he has a bed he dragged over to the local Barnes and Noble. He has a few choice books picked out, a flashlight, and an IPOD he stole from one of the electronic stores. A few discarded candy wrappers and a half eaten bag of popcorn are scattered around because… **** it, there's zombies.

The door's locked. No lights are on.

Will lies in bed, staring at his blank television screen. There are a few waded up tissue papers from when he was crying. He feels drained, empty, hollow. Will bared his soul, gave Torrance everything he could and he failed.

Again.

AGAIN.

Sadly, suicide isn't going to work this time. And it hurts like Hell. He thinks that maybe he should be grateful, she didn't lead him on too much or use him and laugh behind his back or even put him down in too hurtful of a way. But the resentment is still there. The feeling of inadequacy. KNOWING that he isn't good enough. He wonders how much of this is the Queen, if she's somehow rubbing salt in the wound, but more so he fears that all of this is just him, and that it will stay with him after she leaves. He wishes she would just take him over. End it. End everything.

He knows he isn't that lucky.

Will turns on REM's "Everybody Hurts" and starts crying again.

Shakespear in Love is just finishing up.

"I know just how you feel…" he whispers.

Knocking over a few Ben and Jerry's containers, he grabs some more tissue paper.

I knock (Bang really) on the door.

"Will you quit blasting that Emo shit? Some of us are trying so sleep!"

Re: Wraithling's Den
Post by William "Wraithling" Weaver on Apr 15, 2007, 12:12am

"Shut up! You don't even know what 'emo' is you… space… case?"

His insults had gotten less hurtful since Torrance crushed him.

Re: Wraithling's Den
Post by sam2 on Apr 15, 2007, 2:25am

I don't even notice the attempt at an insult.

"Your stupid music has infected the galaxy, there are Emo bands on ALL planets in the Shi'ar Empire! Now turn if off alreay!"

Re: Wraithling's Den

"You don't understand me at all!"

Will puts on his headphones and starts crying again.

"What are you, ten?"

That's it, enough is enough. I ram against the door, knocking it open.

"Hmm, maybe I should have checked if it was locked first. Oh well. Anyway, Stop this already."

I lean agienst the wall.

"So why? Trying to kill yourself with music since the gun didn't work?"

Will shrugs.

"This mess is easier to clean up."

"Not really. I expect the projectile Vomiting to set in soon. That's how it is on my world.

So, I'm guessing this has to do with Torrance. I really should have seen it, with the attempted Suicide right after."

Re: Wraithling's Den
Post by William "Wraithling" Weaver on Apr 15, 2007, 10:42pm

"It wasn't attempted suicide… it was just… pulling the pin to see if it worked or not. I got tired of waiting for someone else to do it."

Re: Wraithling's Den
Post by William "Wraithling" Weaver on Apr 16, 2007, 1:45am

"Nooo… like… listen, Torrance and I were kind of… we were… stuck in neutral for so long. Nothing happened. Every time I took a step forward she'd step back, then I'd back off because I didn't want to drive her away, then SHE'D take a step forward and so I'D take a step forward and then of course SHE'D take a step bac- whatever. We did our little dance and looking back on it now it's all very aggravating and heart wrenching. Now I almost regret not kidnapping her and tying her to the train tracks since that's the kind of guy she went after. The point is I decided right then and there to stop wasting time. Get it? Because I don't. Explain it to me if you can."

He eats some of his ice cream.

Re: Wraithling's Den
Post by sam2 on Apr 16, 2007, 1:50am

"What are you, a Woman?" I take the Ice-cream.

"Another guy? I'm guessing it's not me, since you're confessing all of it. In fact, I have a pretty good idea who."

No I don't.

"So what's the big deal? She said denied, and you're going to sit around moping? Get back out there and say something to her. Or at least punch the other guy out. Thats' what I would do."

Re: Wraithling's Den

Yeah, because he's been a real lady's man since he got here.

"What? I can't be depressed for five minutes? I went out on a limb time and time again, I put myself out there, I bared my soul and she spit on it.

She broke my heart, man… She broke my heart…"

Re: Wraithling's Den

"I didn't say to hit her. You would hit a lady?"

I suddenly cloud over.

"Just hit something. No need to complicate things."

Re: Wraithling's Den

Will just stares at Kee'an for a few seconds. He balls up his fist, still keeping eye contact.

Probably not a good idea…

He punches the wall as hard as he can.

I don't bother supressing the Snicker.

Re: Wraithling's Den

Dick. I wish I could kick his ass. Damn 1 ton strength. He's got to have a weakness somewhere. I could shoot him again, but then I'd get a bunch of blood and bullet holes all over my room. I bet I could kick him in the balls and hurt him. Wait, Shi'ar are descended from birds, do they have kick-able balls? I honestly don't know. Maybe I should do some resear- no, wait, I've already kicked him. Well, this'll be interesting.

"Done?"

Someone paying very close attention would notice my voice is slightly higher then normal.

Will smiles and nods.

"I think so."

That totally hurt you, you FAKER!

I place a hand on his shoulder.

"I'll give you that one free. Don't make a habit of it."

I leave the room, and immeditly fall to the floor, holding my "area"

Re: Wraithling's Den

Will walks out of his room on the way to talk to Emma… he sees Kee'an on the floor.

"…"

He steps over him and continues downstairs.

Will opens the door.

Re: Wraithling's Den

«Just roll with me here for a second. Powers canceled.»

*punch in the face*

"Well, that certainly was an underhanded ploy, but I figure we're even now, right?"

Far from it, but this was still vaguely satisfying.

Re: Wraithling's Den
Post by William "Wraithling" Weaver on Apr 24, 2007, 6:40pm

Jay punches like a girl, but Will has a glass jaw so it all evens out. Sitting up on the bed he says "dude, I thought we were cool. What was that about?"

Re: Wraithling's Den
Post by Ixnay on Apr 24, 2007, 6:43pm

I walk in and close the door.

"I think you know what that was about. You think I've never seen those in action? Since I didn't wake up next to Torrance, I have a pretty good idea what happened there. But, I have to applaud you for sinking to that level. Anyway, in any event, the main reason I'm here is to say goodbye. That's right, I'm leaving. Have a better offer. But, I did get you a going away present."

I reach into my pocket and toss him a three pack of condoms, with one missing.

"To show there's no ill will. This is so you can dream that the other two could one day be used for what the first one was used for: nailing the hell out of Torrance."

I didn't, but I could have, and he doesn't know I didn't, and I definitely could have. If there's one thing I know, it's this: Darkforce users are easy.

Re: Wraithling's Den
Post by William "Wraithling" Weaver on Apr 24, 2007, 6:51pm

Will kicks him in the crotch.

"Tis better to give… sorry, first cliche' that sprung to mind."

Low blow, but a) he was used to them by now and b) Jay kind kind of deserved it.

"I was going to let the punch slide, but… nah, not after that. Though it was sweet of you to dust these off before you handed them over. Does your family pass them down from father to son and the open one is a reminder of 'oops, you were conceived?'"

Re: Wraithling's Den
Post by Ixnay on Apr 24, 2007, 6:56pm

"What a girl tactic," I say in a slightly high pitch.

"No, seriously. I bought them about a week ago, nailed Torrance, decided to hit it and quit it. Just on the positive side of marginal really, which would be much better than you've ever had. I mean, I'm not gainsaying the skill your hand must have amassed over the years, but I think you'll find the real thing much better, if you ever get it."

Re: Wraithling's Den
Post by William "Wraithling" Weaver on Apr 24, 2007, 7:07pm

"Spare me, I overheard Ms. Frost's report after Meghan rejoined the school. What were the words she used? 'Severe rectal trauma?' I'm guessing that you bought these hoping to get lucky, but Kee'an and Cadmus turned you down. I'll be sure to double check with Doreen, though, to make sure none of her squirrels were violated and set on fire."

He gives him a nice happy smile.

"See, I told you you have to think these things through, Jay, if it was me, I would have screwed Kelly, in your bed, and sent you a video tape because that's just the kind of nice guy I am, I want to share my happiness with others."

Re: Wraithling's Den
Post by Ixnay on Apr 24, 2007, 7:23pm

"Well, believe what you want to believe. Later, loser."

I wave offhandedly. As if that nerd could ever score with Kelly.

Re: Wraithling's Den
Post by William "Wraithling" Weaver on Apr 24, 2007, 7:31pm

Will pokes his head out of the room. "Later, asshole." He starts fake crying. "I'll miss you so-ho-ho mu-hu-hu-ch. Boo hoo hoo."

Fucker. So help me if he laid a hand on her I'll gut him like a fish and dance in his entrails, but he did want Jay to know that.

Re: Wraithling's Den
Post by William "Wraithling" Weaver on Jul 18, 2007, 6:30pm

Back with the school, back in the Hellions, Will unpacks his bags in his old room.

[I'll handle the IC telling. But… I'm not entirely sure I do catch your meaning. Not entirely sure I want to :P.

Also, just a note; at any other time, you'd have to have said that he was there the entire time. It's only possible for him to have been elsewhere because of the way this week is.]

*knock knock*

Re: Wraithling's Den

He looks at the door for a few seconds.

"…come in."

Re: Wraithling's Den
Post by Kelly Alecia "Star Girl" Lisa on Jul 18, 2007, 6:38pm

I push the door open and walk in.

"Hi. Where've you been?"

Re: Wraithling's Den
Post by William "Wraithling" Weaver on Jul 18, 2007, 6:45pm

"Hi. Back home. Juvie. Apparently leaving the state on the bus was a violation of my parole. Seemed kind of stupid, but… I guess I should know better than to not expect stupid things to happen. Who knew there was a supervillain juvenile hall? They called it 'The Safe.' Didn't seem like a very clever name."

He shrugs.

"All worked out now. How're things going here? Any demonic possessions lately?"

Re: Wraithling's Den
Post by Kelly Alecia "Star Girl" Lisa on Jul 18, 2007, 6:52pm

"Demonic possessions?" I sigh more than ask.

"Well, I don't think that there were any possessions but I might be forgetting. SHIELD started coming after us and I think that it was because of that Carmen Rosewell woman and they've been chasing us for a while now and we can't stop anywhere for too long and then we ran into these Prometheus people who kidnapped us and tried to experiment on us but we broke out and Ms. Frost disappeared but we don't know how long ago she disappeared because there was someone here who looked like her but wasn't and he was called Damascus and he killed the Winter Guard and Ms. Petrovna - Darkstar - is with us now after that and we beat him but he ran away and then after that we ended up going to a little town - oh, but first we met Mr. Banner, and he's with us too, and he put something together to shield us from SHIELD, only, we think they broke through it, and we went to that little town where we saw this weird monster thing that was turning the whole town into energy and we kind of all faded out and the town died and we got blamed for it and SHIELD's been chasing us even more since then and they sent supervillains after us who tried to kill us and then this guy called Nightmare tried to get to Mr. Banner to control him and sent us to his world to get us out of the way but we got out and beat him but we still have to be careful because SHIELD's still after us, only we haven't done anything wrong, honest!"

Re: Wraithling's Den
Post by William "Wraithling" Weaver on Jul 18, 2007, 6:56pm

He blinks at her a few times.

"Okay… that… raises a few other questions. Like 'who is… everyone you just named?'"

Re: Wraithling's Den
Post by Kelly Alecia "Star Girl" Lisa on Jul 18, 2007, 7:01pm

"Carmen Roswell? She's this awful woman who the Hellions ran into before we joined the Xavier Institute. She's a scientist who profits mostly from MGH… uses case studies to develop it. Like Wildfire….

"Prometheus… from what we know, is a place that's actually quite a lot like Ms. Rosewell in that… we don't really know anything other than the fact that they were running a lot of genetic experiments. Something about a 'true Homo Superior'. They were going to use us for them, too!

"Ms. Petrovna is Darkstar. She's a Russian superhero. She used to be with the Winter Guard until Damascus killed them.

"Damascus used to work for the Hellfire Club. He threatened us all before, at the mansion, but never actually did anything. I don't know who he's wroking for right now.

"Mr. Banner is the Hulk."

Re: Wraithling's Den

"The Hu- THE HULK?? You guys beat up the Hulk? No way."

Re: Wraithling's Den
Post by Kelly Alecia "Star Girl" Lisa on Jul 18, 2007, 7:05pm

"No, we didn't. He, uh… he put something together to keep us from being tracked by SHIELD, but I think that it's busted. He's actually… down there."

I point at Ms. Frost's old room.

"He doesn't do much fighting, though. Things go a little… wrong when he does."

Re: Wraithling's Den
Post by William "Wraithling" Weaver on Jul 18, 2007, 7:08pm

"Yeah, no shit, he's the fucking Hulk. He'll tear a building down if someone eats the last egg roll. And he's just staying in Ms. Frost's old room? Crap in a hat."

«kk, I better head to class, thanks for the summary.»

Re: Wraithling's Den
Post by Kelly Alecia "Star Girl" Lisa on Jul 18, 2007, 7:09pm

"He's actually in control of himself. Something weird happened in that town that blew up… and he's been in control since then. Completely so. Nightmare tried to stop that, and tried to take control himself, but we stopped him. Since then, though… everything's been really weird…."

Not quite so much lately, I mean… you just turned up randomly - I thought that wasn't possible with SHIELD after us - not that there's anything wrong with you turning up… and there's the chance that there's a murderer somewhere among or near us, and- and- well, let's just say that things make even less sense than usual."
