Claire's called all of Gen X to the meeting room.
When they arrive, they notice she'd made a changes. Candles line the wall. Cultic symbols are scrawled about the floor; tribal designs, ancient letters. There's a faint fog in the room, but it's not smoke - its thinner, colder. And Wildfire's body lies in the middle table.
Claire nods to the group as they enter. "Thanks for coming."

"More or less, yes. The problem is, though, that I can't restore parts of her body without taking parts from others. Sacrificing the mice was enough for her eyes, but I was worried about harvesting the bigger organs from humans - it would kill them, obviously. That was the major hangup."
She turns to Adam. "That was, until I learned how your powers worked…"

This is a really big deal. Though he doesn't expect to die, allowing somebody to intentionally burrow into his chest, take what she needs, then close him up… That's a horrifying thought. Does he want to agree to that? Should he? He struggles with it for a bit.
He remembers the time he was captured by somebody… It's hard to remember who, Adam always had a bad memory with this type of thing. Wasn't Wild shot while trying to rescue him? She doesn't regenerate like he does. She may have been hurt badly there. He's the only one around who can make new pieces like that, and she let herself get into a place where she could have been hurt bad just to help him out.
Ohhhhh, but it sounds so painful…

She moves over to the table and closes her eyes, and the glyphs scrawled all about the room start to glare and hum. The air gets a bit thinner, the temperature drops. Wildfire and Adam's bodies begin to make strange movements, as if the organs are moving around inside, shifting, disappearing…

Wildfire's body begins to stir after a moment - it starts slow. A finger move. Her eyelids fluster. A twitch here and there. But the movements become more pronounced and spread, and soon her entire body is squirming on the table, life returning as her soul is placed back in its home.
The glow dissipates. The organs stop moving. Wildfire opens her eyes and sees Claire standing above her.
She leaps off the table, pins Claire to the ground, chokes her with the left and punches her in the face with the left, screaming the entire time. "Die, die! Not real, you're not real, get out of my head, stop!"

Wildfire stops struggling, her breathing getting slower and slower. "There were…there were a lot of them, Nathaniel. Every one I'd ever killed was there. They just kept tearing me apart, killing me over and over…"
