Perhaps it doesn't work quite as expected. Oh, the blood leaves her body, definitely. But it's a little more… visual than expected. The blood rips through her skin, her organs, and her muscle, bursting out in a violent flow, showering Lisa.

"Bored of mind games?"

She's standing behind Lisa. More's the pity.

"Don't you know that's all it ever is?"

Masochistic struggle not working out quite like you wanted, Esme?

Shut up. I thought you ceded back over to me again?

That's when I thought you'd do a half decent job.

Oh, and you're going to do better?

Are you two going to stop bickering at any point soon?

Shut up!

Look, just… whatever. I don't even care anymore. This was supposed to be easy.

There's still something easy that you could do.

That's not going to work. Isn't it obvious?

Fine, whatever. We could just sit here twiddling our thumbs.

Okay, okay. Just… shut up. You're giving me a headache.

Of course; it is exactly what Nadia suspects. The door won't open. It's locked from the inside. A weird feeling passes over Nadia, and she feels herself shift.

Again, she's kicked out of her own body. It seems that someone likes repeat tricks. Or maybe this is just a prelude to a point. Either way, Nadia gets to witness a familiar scene - one that she has, no doubt, seen many a time.

"Idiot."

The flame washes over him again, and he grows to fifty feet, towering over Marcus. The flame isn't yet covering his face.

"You idiot. Why did you have to do this? Look around you! Already, it's reverting. You can't keep Heaven here! The prisoners here won't allow it. They've seen nothing but hell for as long as they've been here; they'll will it into being hell again, if they have to!"

Sure enough, as Marcus looks over the landscape, it is beginning to revert to how it had been before.

"I am driven by Hir will! Do you think this little dog can throw me away like a damned chew toy?" He places emphasis on the word little. The dog balks and disintegrates. The flame finally covers his face.

"Marcus Sin! You have blasphemed in Hir presence, and you have attempted to abort Hir will as well as rescind your rightful burden and duties! You have become one with your taken name, and you are judged! I find you guilty of your own avarice and ego! May She have mercy on you, Marcus Sin!"

His form changes as the black flame twists into the form of a giant cheese-grater [::)], with a force seizing Marcus and grating him with it.

"For I certainly won't."

Marcus drops to the floor… in little, grated pieces… Sephula returns to his normal size and the black flame pulls away.

"Don't push him, Marcus." Marcus finds himself restored… but the odd experience isn't one that he'll forget any time soon. "Or he will make you regret it."

"And you killed Clifford, that's also a big nono. You may be Vengence, but at least get my name right."

Mazinkaiser, Getter Robo, Mazinger Z, Great Mazinger, Getter Robo G, Grendizer, and Boss Robot all smash into the Sephula.

"I'm Marcus Sun, strongest member of the Generation X! Eat Super Robot Sephula!"

"I'm not here to fight you either, Marcus. But don't you get it? He's whatever, wherever, and however She wants him to be. And as such, so am I. You can't throw us out that easily." He smiles.

The world shifts into a distorted haze before Lisa's eyes, one object spinning into another and becoming one with it, twisting together and then separating as something wholly new. Wholly different.

And then they come. Out of the gates of limbo, flooding out and spreading their wings, leaping forwards, taking pride in their grotesque form. Demons, all around her. Watching her. Hissing. Leering at her. One steps forwards and lays a hand on her arm, it's hideously long tongue wrapping around its teeth.

"Mephisto never gave up hell for his time to be judged. He gave up hell temporarily in order for his enemies to be slain, by us. Mephisto is a trickster, a liar, a man who'll use people to his advantage for his profit. I was a means for his profit, no more, no less. He trapped me in a pocket layer of hell, he meant for me to either kill or be killed by his enemies. Shut up!

He starts meditating, oblivious to everything else. He clears his mind and starts putting things together.

A dream, but dreams don't usually destroy your train of thoughts, or change your personality. Plus it was too vivid, he could feel the bile. Which means telepaths. Bloody stinkin telepaths.

He was fairly certain that his hunch was true, if it was he could just end the game by doing what the voice says and killing all their souls, but he wasn't sure enough to risk that. There were also those clouded thoughts, if he could remember, then he was sure he'd know how this happened and who did it. Although if it was a student there's a pretty short list of telepaths with the guts to do this.

"Alright whoever you are?! End this right now! I know it's not real!"

Blind abruptly increases the ambient light of the maze a dozenfold in the eyes of the demon. He gets behind it, does his best to leap on the thing's back and club it with the butt of his gun. If he connected, he'd increase the impact of it to roughly the equivalent of being smacked in the head with a cannonball.

I bury my face in my palms and sigh heavily. Part of me slightly hopes that if when I open my eyes this will all have been a bad, annoying, emotionally draining dream. Though that part is fairly small.

When she does open her eyes, she's faced with the black flame. And only the black flame.

"Sorry. It's not so easy to hold out against the Logos. I-

Retribution… it is certainly an interesting goal. Your services have earned you some leniency. Be grateful for that, at the least. Elsewise, your fate would not have been an appealing one."

A wave of his hand is all it takes to disperse Nadia by the atom.

[I'm out. Probably for a couple of hours.]

Demi pops up.

"Lord Marcus the logos are verrry verrry mad. They'll grind your bones and eat you guts you know. I know their words but their fearsome words. Fearsome like butterflies!"
"Sorry, no time. I'm going to need you to be sane for a moment."
He tries to make her sane.

For a moment, it seems less distressing that it would if she wasn't somewhat used to it. And then she realises that, even though he's no longer actively separating her atom by atom, she still can't pull herself back together.

The atoms drift apart further and further, slowly separating her consciousness across them, twisting it and contorting it. Then suddenly, she has control over it once again, when a blur of movement slams into the flame, smashing him into the floor.

"Demi, I need your help."
"FUCK YOU! Fuck you Marcus! Do you have any idea of what I've seen?! Do you have any idea of how much I know?! I can't handle it! I can't. I've been inside hell for god knows how long. All those memories, those horrible things that happened."

She starts crying. Even if this wasn't real, Marcus was still uneasy.

"Demi, I wouldn't have done this if it wasn't important. I need help, I need options. You're omniscient. Can you tell me a way to beat God? To beat the Logo's?"

I come back together, taking a deep gasp for air as I do. Of course, breathing wasn't very high on my list of priorities a moment ago, but it feels good to be doing it again. My head is swimming… spreading my mind so thin has left me fairly discombobulated. Though I have enough awareness to figure that a bat eating Batman isn't quite right.

Speed being relativelyy meaningless against the Wrath, when they start running, they feel their flesh burn away until there is nothing left.

Marcus gets close enough to see the Logos, with Sephula sitting, head in his heads, impatiently next to the fight. If he gets too much closer, there's the chance it will turn its attention on him.

Nadia… is somewhere, depending on whether TEO has her follow.

"This ends now."

He starts willing pain into the Logos. Instead of using constructs and machinations he thinks abstractly. Imagine the worst pain you have ever felt in your life times a thousand. Now imagine that pain continuing forever.

Fist meets face.

"Stop-" Another punch "making this" another "into" another "a fight!" A last punch collides with Marcus' face.

"Just give up. I don't want this. Why do you?" He glances nervously at Nadia, clearly glad the Logos hasn't chosen to pull itself back together again.

He leans forwards and places his hand at Marcus' temples, channelling the pain the Logos felt back into Marcus.

"And you can't even win! So why won't you quit?"

The comment throws him off guard for long enough for the blow to actually hit him, winding him for a moment, but not doing much else.

"I… no. No, I don't. And you shouldn't, either. You should know by now that you can't. Human attachments don't mean anything anymore. We're past that. Long past that. Anyone in here is here because you brought them down here."

He doesn't address the question of, if human attachments don't mean anything, why he hasn't let the Logos have full free reign to tear Marcus and Nadia apart yet. Marcus tended to be able to tell when he was lying, anyway.

In what now seems to be a very tired fashion, Sephula doesn't seem to particularly resist, and goes flying.

So what now? I mean, you can't just keep doing that. There's the two routes. The suffering one… you need more than what you just tried… but that's still a temporary measure. And then you've got the other thing…
