Training Mission 14 - Distinguished Competition

[Just like last time, ANYBODY can participate. Think of these missions as taking place before the split.]
"Okay…okay, so I press this button, right?"
"Uh-huh. But keep an eye on the screen, darling; this thing can get a little buggy sometimes."
The previous night, Rogue and Roxanne were sitting around like they usually did, watching TV like they usually did, eating some popcorn like they usually did, when a certain show gave them a certain idea for a certain training mission.
When your character enters the Danger Room he/she notices that the scenario's already set up - they're in some sort of meeting room; a large, round table with a bunch of chairs. There are windows, too, and when you look out, you can see that you're on some sort of Moonbase…
There's a sign that says: TAKE A SEAT
So, take a seat.

Without warning, a large screen drops down beside the table, and a dark, shadowed image peers at them from the other side. It's hard to make out his exact form in the darkness, but his eyes glow a fiery red and voices sounds like the Beast himself.
"Greeting. My name is Darkseid." The shadows lift and reveal the master of Apokolips, standing there in all his gloating glory. "Remember my face well, for it will be one of the last things you see before your pathetic deaths. Your heroes - Superman, Batman, the bulk of the Justice League - have abandoned you, off to fight some war on some other planet and leaving you, a fledgling band of misfits, as Earth's only defense. Foolhardy. When the Justice League returns, they will find Earth only a mere husk, barren, home to the dead and dying."
His eyes glow even brighter than before, and the slightest hint of a sick grin graces his face. "Surrender now, and I will consider granting a swift death. Resist, and you will suffer in ways you cannot imagine."

The group teleports down to Earth, and finds themselves right in front of Cadmus Labs, of all places. There's a rather high number of warships in the area, but oddly, none of them are attacking the labs - no, they're leaving that to Granny Goodness' Female Furies.
We have Stompa: Super strong, makes earthquakes with every tap of her foot.
Gilotina: Can slice anything, master martial artist.
Lashina: Superhuman strength, speed, and agility, wields electric lashes, has a bondage fetish.
Mad Harriet: Has energy claws, generally nutso.
Malice Vundabar: Just a helpless little girl. Really.
The Furies haven't noticed the arriving heroes yet, and are in the process of beating their way through a wave of police officers.

As Kelly Marvel comes in, she's intercepted by Stompa and knocked to the ground with a hard punch. "Ah, look, it's the second-string!
"If you've really got to know, we came here to bust out a new friend of ours." Lashina's lash whips around Kelly's neck, sending searing jolts of electricity into her. "Too bad you won't be around long enough to meet him."
Meanwhile Wreck Devil tries to impale Mad Harriet, who nimble leaps over the trident. "Sheesh, we just met and you're already trying to penetrate me!" She slashes him across the face. "Well, guess what? YOU'RE THE ONE WHO'S GOING TO GET PENETRATED!"

The Furies have good teamwork; Stompa charges in, blocks Kelly's punch and knocks her away with one of her own. Fortunately, Plastic Pester hits dead on and Catsara's whip encircles her neck, and she's forced to let go of Kelly.
But she's not hurt.
"Don't forget the target!" She stands up and starts to unravel the whip, her strength far beyond Sara's. "Head inside!"
Stompa nods and barrels through what few police remain, making her way inside the building.
Meanwhile, Gilotina's having a fun time with Etrigan Knight, and she wants to include Big Nephy on the fun. "Hey, traitor!" She call out, getting behind Etrigan and pressing her blade to his neck. "I'm curious…you wouldn't happen to know if this creature can survive losing it's head, would you? Well, I suppose there's one way to find out…"

The only thing madder than Harriet is her speed; she weaves through Wreck Devil's blasts easily and makes her way to his back, leaping on top of him. She wraps her legs around his waist and begins to slash wildly at his neck, just out of his reach.

Gilotina sees both Kelly Marvel and Stardustfire's attacks coming, and leap frogs over Etrigan Knight at JUST the right moment - not only does Stardustfire miss, but Kelly Marvel and Etrigan Knight are hit by his/her blasts. Not serious damage, but it knocks the wind out of them.

Lashina's so busy trying to untangle Plastic Pester, that Catsara's slash comes in and rakes across her face, drawing blood. Lashina looks more annoyed than anything. "Malice…now might be a good time to do something.
Catsara is knocked down by a heavy blow from behind, and turns around to see a giant cat, made entirely of shadows, standing behind her. A cat with a large, devilish grin.

Stardustfire manages to sneak up on Mad Harriet and get a solid blast to her back. It doesn't knock her out, but it knocks her down, and she isn't moving much.
Etrigan Knight senses, more than anything, something very big and foreboding underground. Rage. Pure, inchoate rage. Unlike anything he's seen before, there is being beneath them embodies every insane, psychopathic tendency he could imagine.

Stardustfire picks up a screaming Malice and drags her away, which, of course, gets Chessure's attention - the shadow creatures goes in hot pursuit.
Etrigan Knight enters the building and can see Kelly Marvel slugging it out with Stompa below - Stompa's really having a hard time, too; Kelly's strength is deceptively extreme.

Plastic Pester's help makes stomping Stompa all the easier for Kelly Marvel, but the other can't help notice there's a little something odd about the room they're in - the light keeps flickering on and off, and the sound of a low growl can be heard from behind some partition doors.
Stardustfire manages to shake Malice up quite a bit. "Alright, alright! You win! I give!" Chessure dematerializes.

Marcus knocks out Malice, easy.
It's hard for Etrigan Night to tell, but whatever's beyond the doors obviously is not of this world. Plastic Pester manages to squeeze his way in, but before he can get all the way, a giant fist grabs him by eyeballs and yanks, pulling him clean through the partition doors. It's dark, so Plastic Pester has a hard time seeing what's got him, but it looks like the Hulk…sort of.

Marcus takes a belt from a policeman. Ties them round malice's arms. Puts her in a garbage can and kicks it down the road.

He steals the clothing off and officer and changes into them, before going inside the building.

[All right, a little recap: Kelly knocked Stompa into Cadmus' Labs, and the two duked it out, with Kelly having the upperhand.
Stardustfire managed to call off Malice's Chessure cat, then knocked the girl out.
Nadanna put Gulitina to sleep.
Everyone followed Etrigan Knight inside.

I try turning as liquidy as possible so the creature can't get a good hold on me. Assuming that works long enough, I'll slip between the crack in the doorframe and expand, hopefully opening it.

Pester wraps around Doomsday's ankle, and is promptly yanked off a moment later; the monster pulls him up, puts him in his mouth, and starts to chew away like Plastic Pester's Laffy Taffy. Nadanna manages to slow him down, but only by a half, it seems, and Big Nephy's attack only manages to get his attention - Doomsday smacks her hard in the chest and sends her flying clean through four walls. He resumes chewing.

Suddenly, a voice echoes throughout the fledgling leaguer's minds. "This is J'onn J'onzz heading towards your position with Superman and Wonder Woman; we've just returned to Earth with the rest of the League. Hold your position, and we'll be there as soon as possible."
Meanwhile, Doomsday isn't hurt by Plastic Pester's attack, but he is annoyed; he pulls him out using his body like a whip, slamming him into Stardustfire.

[I was always a litttle iffy on how Zatanna's powers work, and this is the exact reason why - pardon if this is wrong.]
Plastic Pester and Etrigan Knight's attack managed to stagger Doomsday, but only for a moment - he quickly recovers and knocks Etrigan aside with ease.
Meanwhile, Nadanna's spell works. Sort of.
Suddenly, EVERYONE finds themselves standing in the middle of Apokolips.

Oh… crud. I'm fairly certain that we're barely surviving Doomsday right now. And now the Parademons are joining in on the fun. Thgif tgnoma sevlesruoy? Nah. Yawa og? Nah. Emitpan? None of those help us with our major issue, that being that Doomsday is kicking our collective asses. I need something to up our survival chances a bit…

Marcus manages to shake him loose with Plastic Pester's help, but the beast is too strong - he resists being pulled, and starts to drag Plaz and Big Nephy his way. Fortunately, Nadanna's spell works as intended: Everyone, save for Doomsday, goes invisible, and the Parademons gang up on the only target they see.
Unfortunately, Doomsday beats them back with ease. But there's a lot of Parademons, so it might take a minute to get clear.

The group Booms out, and finds themselves on an Earth that's relatively more peaceful than the one they left. Superman and the League cleaned up rather well, and all objectives were completed.
The simulation drops, and Roxanne's voice booms out over the Danger Room. "Good job, everybody!"

I tried to at least give some theme to them, based on personality and powers and other little things. The recent topic about Nephy's tallness made me think 'Big Barda'. Pester seemed a natural for Plastic Man. Wreck's history in hell made me think Blue Devil. Hellfire Knight seemed like a pretty good Etrigan.
