Nephy walks in behind Sara.

She never runs out of energy, does she?

Torrance enters in a black and purple outfit reminiscent of the classic New Mutants uniforms, and an X-Men field jacket.

She waves a hand at the control window and unconciously heads to the front of the group.

"Silvey, Codename: Torment, ready for action."

Re: Training Mission 9 - Anger Management
Post by William "Wraithling" Weaver on Feb 20, 2007, 2:19am

Will walks in.

"Man, I wonder if this'll be as crazy and action pack as the Carnage battle. Wasn't that awesome guys? Damn."

Re: Training Mission 9 - Anger Management
Post by Protoman on Feb 20, 2007, 2:21am

I speak over the intercom.

"Okay guys, I'll give it a few more minutes to see who shows up. Then we'll get going."

Re: Training Mission 9 - Anger Management
Post by William "Wraithling" Weaver on Feb 20, 2007, 2:26am

Will walks up to Joe and whispers to him.

"Hey, buddy, how are things going between you and Nephy?"

Re: Training Mission 9 - Anger Management
Post by Cheshire on Feb 20, 2007, 2:27am

Joe whispers back "It's going good. I made her an apology note and she forgave me and then she really enjoyed some pie." Joe thinks about what he said. "NOT LIKE THAT!"

"Alright guys, it's a small group, but lets move anyway."

The room flickers to life and you are all in the middle of New York City. Screams can be heard up ahead of you.

Re: Training Mission 9 - Anger Management

"No trust me, buddy, it'll get rid of some of the awkwardness."

Re: Training Mission 9 - Anger Management

Joe immediately snaps his head up at the screams, and moves in front of Nephy and Sara.

Re: Training Mission 9 - Anger Management

Torrance armors up and immediately drops one her bigger ghuls in front of the group.

Re: Training Mission 9 - Anger Management
Post by Sara "Radical Dreamer" Lincoln on Feb 20, 2007, 2:32am

Sara pulls her goggles up around her head and secures them over her eyes.

"I'm on recon."

Sara dashes ahead at top speed getting just out of view of everyone else before coming back.

"I just thought about that for a second, maybe I should bring someone with me?"

The screams continue, they seem to be getting closer.

Re: Training Mission 9 - Anger Management

As the group continues to talk a car is hurled towards them, it lands a few feet in front of them. They see people running past them as….THE RHINO enters view charging at them.

Re: Training Mission 9 - Anger Management
Post by Cheshire on Feb 20, 2007, 2:40am

Joe slips into the rear of the group, walking sideways to get a better view of what's going on behind the group.

He hears the crashing of Rhino, and turns around to the front.

Re: Training Mission 9 - Anger Management
Post by Sara "Radical Dreamer" Lincoln on Feb 20, 2007, 2:43am

"OH MY GOD! IT'S A GIANT RHINO!"

Sara jumps over the car and charges towards the oncoming Rhino, leapfrogging over him at the last second.

"That was fun!"

She gets a good distance between herself and Rhino and looks back at the group.

"Any bright ideas?"

Re: Training Mission 9 - Anger Management
Post by William "Wraithling" Weaver on Feb 20, 2007, 2:44am

"Yeah, he's the Rhino… inventive, I know… near indestructablr, stay out of his way."

Re: Training Mission 9 - Anger Management
Post by Alkaline on Feb 20, 2007, 2:44am

"Um, now is a really good time to scatter, guys."

Torrance disbands her ghul, throws a Darkforce blindfold over Rhino's face.

Re: Training Mission 9 - Anger Management
Post by Cheshire on Feb 20, 2007, 2:45am

Joe, slightly panicked, fires off a force blast toward Rhino.

Re: Training Mission 9 - Anger Management
Post by Nephy "Lifebeat" Nephrahim on Feb 20, 2007, 2:47am

Nephy grabs Joe and dashes out of the way.

Re: Training Mission 9 - Anger Management
Post by William "Wraithling" Weaver on Feb 20, 2007, 2:47am

Will turns to Torrance.

"Hey, Pre Menstral Woman, kick his ass!"

Re: Training Mission 9 - Anger Management
Post by Protoman on Feb 20, 2007, 2:47am

Rhino reacts to Torrance's blindfold the same way any rhino would. He starts rampaging more. He slams into the building next to him and continues in the general direction of the group.

"Hey you! Come back here!"

Just then, Deadpool enters view.

"You're supposed to be my keychain!"

Joe's blast connects…with a propane tank next to an apartment building. The building bursts into flame, luckily most people had gotten out when they heard screaming. However, from a top floor window the group can see a young girl screaming for help.

Re: Training Mission 9 - Anger Management

"Oh no! Nephy, grab that little girl!"

Re: Training Mission 9 - Anger Management
Post by Nephy "Lifebeat" Nephrahim on Feb 20, 2007, 2:49am

"That's too high up for me to do anything like that!"

Nephy looks at Hype.

Re: Training Mission 9 - Anger Management
Post by William "Wraithling" Weaver on Feb 20, 2007, 2:49am

Will sees kid and hears the screaming.

…she isn't real.

But she sounds real. Damn.

Will runs into the building to save her.

Re: Training Mission 9 - Anger Management
Post by Protoman on Feb 20, 2007, 2:50am

The flames are too much on the ground floor, Will can't safely pass through them.

Re: Training Mission 9 - Anger Management
Post by Sara "Radical Dreamer" Lincoln on Feb 20, 2007, 2:51am

"I got her!"

Sara runs towards the building and right as she gets to it she jumps up on the wall and continuing the run, grabbing the girl as she passes the window and then shifting back and running back down the wall.

She hits the ground and runs with the girl until they're just outside of the assaulted area, drops her off, and runs back to the fight.

Re: Training Mission 9 - Anger Management
Post by Cheshire on Feb 20, 2007, 2:52am

Oh god, Will…

Joe tries to find a way to climb up and get the girl. Seeing none, he peppers Rhino with several force blasts, making sure that there are no explosive materials near where he's firing, trying to lure the villain away.

Re: Training Mission 9 - Anger Management
Post by William "Wraithling" Weaver on Feb 20, 2007, 2:52am

Will walks out coughing.

Fuck. I knew better than to play hero.

Re: Training Mission 9 - Anger Management
Post by Protoman on Feb 20, 2007, 2:53am

The girl runs back towards the group, screaming.

"My mommy is still in there! She hit her head!" The girl starts crying.

—-

Rhino's vision returns as he smashes his face into a wall and shatters the darkforce construct. He charges a few feet, into the person firing at him…Joe. Joe is sent flying into a nearby wall.

Re: Training Mission 9 - Anger Management
Post by Alkaline on Feb 20, 2007, 2:54am

Torment stands her ground.

"Um, I can probably teleport out of his path, you guys…not so much."

«Not sure if the DF Fear Effect would kick in on Rhino?»

Joe comes up spitting blood. "Gwuh….hey!" He yells, coughing up a big gob of blood. "We gotta…get that kid's mom!" He wipes off his mouth and stands up.

Re: Training Mission 9 - Anger Management

Deadpool looks at Will.

"He used to be my keychain."

Re: Training Mission 9 - Anger Management

"Nuh…Fine, Nephy. …kid's mom…gotta go get her!" Joe starts staggering towards the building.

Re: Training Mission 9 - Anger Management

Rhino charges directly at Nephy.

"Next time he won't be so lucky!"

Joe pushes Nephy out of the way of Rhino.

Re: Training Mission 9 - Anger Management
Post by Alkaline on Feb 20, 2007, 2:59am

Torrance, never having done this before, attempts to teleport Rhino INTO the street by latching onto his back with her Darkforce tendril and trying to teleport herself…

Re: Training Mission 9 - Anger Management
Post by Sara "Radical Dreamer" Lincoln on Feb 20, 2007, 2:59am

Sara runs back at Rhino and does another leapfrog before running back up the building and jumping through the window.

"Hello?! Is anyone in here?"!

Sara starts looking around, coughing on the smoke.

*Think Sara, the little girl said she hit her head, she wont be awake, I have to look!*

Sara starts searching the room at super speed, she checks every room before finding the woman in the hallway unconcious. Sara tries to lift her but struggles with it a bit.

"Come on lady, wake up!"

The flames start building up around them.

"Not good, not good, think Sara think!"

She bites her lip hard and manages to lift the woman over her shoulder and carry her to the window. Flames shooting up everywhere, smoke choking her. She gets to the window and just jumps with the woman. She tries to get a grip on the wall but is struggling.

"Ohmygodohmygod! SOMEBODY CATCH US!"

Re: Training Mission 9 - Anger Management

Rhino impales Joe through the stomach.

The little girl is still crying. "Someone save my mommy…"

Deadpool walks closer to Will.

Will tries to possess Deadpool, hoping that the simulation has been modified to reflect his mutant powers.

Re: Training Mission 9 - Anger Management

Rhino is indeed lodged in the street after Torrance's attempt.

"Hey! What's goin on here?!"

Re: Training Mission 9 - Anger Management
Post by Cheshire on Feb 20, 2007, 3:01am

"GWAAAGH!" A huge gush of blood comes flowing out of Joe's mouth. He begins sliding backwards off of Rhino's horn.

..everything's all…slow…motion-y…maybe can still…

As he slides off, Joe fires two full force blasts into Rhino's face, aiming for his eyes.

Re: Training Mission 9 - Anger Management
Post by Protoman on Feb 20, 2007, 3:03am

The blasts miss Rhino, because he was just teleported by Torrance.

—-
Will probably could have possessed Deadpool, had he not disapeared at that precise moment.

Sara gets her footing back and fixes her goggles.

"Thanks Nephy! >COUGH< Ok, ow, that hurts.

Sara looks around the battlefield.

"Ok, what'd I miss?"

Re: Training Mission 9 - Anger Management
Post by Cheshire on Feb 20, 2007, 3:06am

Joe, having made it up to his knees, stares at the gaping hole in his stomach, then tries feebly to stand up.

Post by Nephy "Lifebeat" Nephrahim on Feb 20, 2007, 3:06am

« I thought you would be beamed out like the last mission. That's a kinda critical wound… »

Nephy kneels next to Joe. He was bleeding, but no organs were hit. This was actually no big deal for her.

All the blood flowed back into Joe's body. There was still a gaping hole in him, but nothing was coming out.

Re: Training Mission 9 - Anger Management
Post by Protoman on Feb 20, 2007, 3:06am

Things seem to calm down for the moment.

Joe is lying in a pool of his own blood…or not. «Damn you, Nephy!»

The mother has woken up and run off with her little girl without so much as a thank you.

Rhino is stuck in the street.

Re: Training Mission 9 - Anger Management
Post by Cheshire on Feb 20, 2007, 3:08am

«Still, though, the Danger Room is supposed to be very realistic. That seems a bit of a blase attitude I'm just giving you a hard time about it.»

"Thanks…Nephy…that hurt a bunch…"

Re: Training Mission 9 - Anger Management

Torrance throws a muzzle over Rhino's mouth and nose.

"Nephy, care to aid in the lullabye?"

Joe rises unsteadily to his feet. His head was still murder.

"So what…now?"

Re: Training Mission 9 - Anger Management
Post by Protoman on Feb 20, 2007, 3:11am

Perhaps Joe should have stayed quiet.

The building to the left of the group basically explodes as a big green man jumps through it.

"HULK SMASH PUNY HUMANS!"

Re: Training Mission 9 - Anger Management
Post by Cheshire on Feb 20, 2007, 3:12am

Joe looks up at the Hulk, down at his stomach, and back up at Hulk.

Re: Training Mission 9 - Anger Management

"Oh man!"

I rocket upwards and put a shield around me.

"Can't we talk this out?" I asked with a smile.

With the shield around me, I rocketed back down to slam into the Hulk with my shoulder and all of my strength.

Sara looks around before running forward.

"ItworkedonRustyItworkedonRustyItworkedonRusty!"

She cuts to the right on her run about 10 feet from the Hulk and starts running circles around him trying to create a vacum.

Joe runs as fast as he can and jumps on the Hulk's back (piggyback style). Once he's latched on, he begins firing blasts at lil' Banner.

Re: Training Mission 9 - Anger Management

The construct grabs Hulk's leg as the arrow hits him. He turns around, dropping Kelly to the ground.

"HULK SMASH YOU NOW! PRETTY GIRL WAIT!" The Hulk takes a swing at Daniel, fully connecting. He goes flying.

"Oh god, it hurts."

She's tearing up badly and can't stop coughing out blood.

The Hulk starts beating on the bubble around his head.

Daniel's arrow flies true and hits the bubble…weakening it. Joes blasts only weaken it more. Hulk smashes it one more time and it shatters.

"NOW YOU PAY! YOU MAKE HULK ANGRY!"

Adam is decidedly less than okay. He tried to help a teammate and was publicly shunned, then tossed into another teammate. As of that point, he just lay there in pieces trying not to cry.

Re: Training Mission 9 - Anger Management

Hulk stumbles a bit as he walks. The blood slowdown is affecting him.

"HULK…HULK SMASH!" He slams his fist into a car, it goes flying towards the team.

Re: Training Mission 9 - Anger Management

I struggled back up to my feet, wiping the blood away.

"Alright, let's do this the right way, then! Everyone, fall back!"

As soon as they did, I let off a flare in front of the Hulk, and followed it up with an energy charged punch.

Sara managed to climb back to her feet, and spits another mouthful of blood out.

"Ok, the kids gloves are off, this bastard is going to pay."

She starts running across the battlefield, her speed slightly enhanced by her draining out the pain. She's picking up rubble and debris and throwing it at the Hulk. He's being hit on all sides, a least ten chunks a second, she's not letting up at all.

Re: Training Mission 9 - Anger Management
Post by Nephy "Lifebeat" Nephrahim on Feb 20, 2007, 11:00pm

Darn it, fall down already…

Nephy takes a cue from Kelly. Gathering the blood lying around (and there is quite a lot of it) she trys to smother him. However, she keeps the composition liquid like.

Re: Training Mission 9 - Anger Management
Post by Protoman on Feb 20, 2007, 11:04pm

The punch, the fireballs and the debris all hit at once. The Hulk staggers backwards, falling into a building. As he trys to push himself up he is smothered by Nephy's blood.

"MMMM MMMMM!" Is all that can be heard as he trys to speak through the blood. He falls back down as more debris hits him. This could be you guy's chance.

Re: Training Mission 9 - Anger Management

Re: Training Mission 9 - Anger Management

Sara runs up to the mess where the Hulk was buried and starts checking it at super speed before coming back.

"He's good and buried, but there's no chance in hell I'm going to check deeper."

She coughs up some more blood.

"Anyone know a good medic?"

She tries to look cute, but is blatantly in pain.

Re: Training Mission 9 - Anger Management
Post by Protoman on Feb 20, 2007, 11:11pm

Daniel made the wrong decision. As he gets close there is a roar from underneath the rubble and the Hulk leaps out. He smashes Daniel, quite hard.

"NO ONE BETTER THAN HULK! HULK THE BEST THERE IS!"

Re: Training Mission 9 - Anger Management

"Oh, no!"

I rose a body fitting shield around the Hulk, cutting his air off. It was invisible and a few millimetres away from his skin, so I figured he wouldn't notice until it's too late.

Re: Training Mission 9 - Anger Management

The Hulk tries to grab at the hand tickling him.

"HULK SM-" He's cut off as the feild surrounds him. He looks genuinely confused. His eyes flutter…He runs towards Kelly. The last person to make a feild, but he fall to the ground before reaching her…unconcious. The green behemoth begins to shrink into puny little Banner.
