Training Mission 5 - A little control, long way
Post by Rapt "Roc"/Fragment/Fraternity on Feb 15, 2007, 1:51pm

Rapt sends word to all the New Mutants, that if they're interested, he has a training program he'd like to try, and anyone, New Mutant or Hellions is welcome. He also sends word to Emma Frost and Rogue, in the case they'd like to observe the Danger Room for the duration.

"What's going on?"

"So what exactly are we going to do?"

Post by Rapt "Roc"/Fragment/Fraternity on Feb 15, 2007, 2:32pm

"Alright…so…I don't think its fair to just throw people at something without context like Frost did…so…"

As Rapt speaks, the Danger Room activates, the small group standing in the middle of a street, surrounded by buildings. The town has the faint feeling of being similiar to the town the Salvation Farm was at, though, a quick glance will show everything to be reversed, with the buildings changed around a bit, to make a new place, if similiar.

"The point of this is simple…we need to go from here." Rapt points at the ground.

"To there." Rapt points to where, if it were Salvation farm, (after being mirror flipped) would be. A giant smoking crater completely decimating where the Farm would be. The sole remanant to show it was once a field is a scarecrow, which has been impaled with a fencepost through its back, slumping forward, propped up by the post. (Note; This scarecrow, when everyone else is looking away, and JUST out of the corner of your eye…not enough to be certain, could possibly resemble Amelia…but as soon as it is looked back at…its clear that it doesn't).

"Of course, we need to get there without harming anyone thats innocent in these matters. That, and make sure they stay safe. And you know, destroy the evil things.

The people will appear once we start moving, thats the trigger that things begin."

Re: Training Mission 5 - A little control, long wa
Post by K'lar on Feb 15, 2007, 2:43pm

Why do people keep thinking I have group defense capabilities? Pretty much other than yelling "Jump behind the short, fat Filipino kid", What kind of defense can I provide?

Mike takes the lead, bringing up his forcefield, "All right. We really should scout this place out…" what a time to be without Reflex or even Arms-and-everything-else-falls-off-Boy. "Star. Take to the sky." He would have preferred Rapt, but logically enough, Rapt can't provide straight answers.

"If you're sure…"

I flew up, but not too high, and wrapped myself in a shield.

I paused.

"Unless you and Nephy feel more comfortable in those positions," I said to Amelia. "If so, then switch with Mike."

Post by Rapt "Roc"/Fragment/Fraternity on Feb 15, 2007, 2:48pm

[Alright…and now the special bit of this mission comes in…

Whenever someone uses a power, they find it works well. Ten times as well as normal. An attempt to fly 1 foot, results in going 10 feet, power's are extended, and widened by ten times (for constructs and stuff), so shields and constructs are ten times the size and thickness they should be.]

[As they begin to move, people begin to appear, showing an average town in motion. People walk around buildings, down the street, and so forth, going about their business.]

((No…I don't know. I figure they'll figure out to make baby steps with powers. And nah, its just the danger room adding onto people's powers, as in, its like, the original is there, at normal size..theres just the hologram bit slapped on like clay onto it.))

[If the scout looks, she'll see small flashes of light, like glass or something, scattered all over the blackened field]

((Oh, phsyical mutations (wings, fur, tails, ect) aren't affected. Active powers (or attribute increasing ones) are. If that makes any sense.))

Re: Training Mission 5 - A little control, long wa
Post by Marisol Morales on Feb 15, 2007, 3:04pm

Marisol decided it was time to see how it all worked BEFORE they actually entered combat. She tried turning herself into something like a tiger. It essentially worked out, but she ended up too big to be possible, as she realized. She was huuuge… far huger than she could be by herself. It actually hurt a little…

She tried turning herself smaller. It worked out well enough, despite a measure of mental confusion about how big she was. Soon she was just the size of a small car. She turned towards the others and prowled around on guard.

Saying nothing, I pull one of my swords out as the army of people stomp towards us.

She currently had a LOT more volume to work with than usual, so she decided to make use of it. She created a very large number of wire-sized tentacles. There were so many that she lost count and they were mostly the sizes of fire hoses. She proceeded to try and catch as many people in the mob as she could by gently getting hold of their waists with her tentacles and lifting them in the air.

Star: Just unleashed a giant flash of light. This is what everyone can see now, for the next few minutes.

Lifebeat: Is making people pass out (or worse), dropping three of the ten remaining people.

Cadmus: Has three of the crowd trying, vainly to assault him. They aren't doing a good job.

Marisol: Is, like a good shape shifter, extending tendrils and holding another four of the remaining people up in the air.

Rapt: Is being beaten by Amelia

Amelia: Is beating Rapt, and then crying (Which…honestly wasn't Rapt's goal in this)

Everyone: Is now blinded, thanks to the flash. They can hear multiple clicks of something, perhaps gems on concrete, circling the area. However, they are unable to find them by sound alone.

Freaktada: Is now God to these people, who are crying and praying for forgiveness.

And I apologize for the chaos!]

Those ones, after a few more futile strikes, pop out, and skitter away, leaving seven very confused people looking at Cadmus, as a few of their companions (only three brave the return) come back, holding their makeshift weapons high as they approach the now confused people]
