The Age of Magneto #1
Post by Protoman on Nov 30, 2006, 8:17pm

Editor's Note:: The possible future that this depicts spins off before our world got blown to hell in Mission 9.

Issue #1

"When I give the word run, and don't look back." Dillan Drummond says to the group surrounding him, his voice shaky.

"Dillan, what exactly are we running from? Wreck's forces have never given us trouble before." questioned Alexia "Amethyst" Serden.

"We aren't dealing with just Wreck's soldiers at the moment Lexi, we're dealing with the man himself." Dillan replied, his voice stronger now. "And he's dangerous."

The air around the group explodes with gunfire as Dillan's one time teammate and even friend enters view, followed by an entire army. "RUN!" Dillan yells, and they do. The group takes off, trying to avoid the rain of bullets. Amethyst watches in horror as Dazzler falls, taking a bullet to the head. She stops, and turns to stare at Wreck. "Keep running Lexi!" Dillan screams as he runs by her, stopping about 2 feet from her.

"No, I'm tired of running. I'll fight him if I have to, he betrayed all of you." She says as Wreck reaches them and stops about three feet away.

"You look more like your father than I would have expected." Wreck says with a smirk.

"Don't you talk about my father you dirty prick. I know what you did." Amethyst replies. "You don't have the right to talk about my father."

"What I did?! You don't know what you're talking about. What did you tell her Dillan?" Wredk asks, holstering his pistol and lighting a cigarette. He sends his troops back with a flick of the wrist.

"I told her the truth, that you betrayed us to join with Magneto."

"You lying son of a bi-" Wreck is cut off as Dillan grabs Amethyst's arm and teleports. "That bastard hasn't told her what really happened the day Lex died…" Wreck says to himself as he turns around and heads back to his fortress.

Dillan and Alexia appear outside their makeshift base, about 3 miles away. Dillan is clearly exausted from teleporting. "Dillan, what was he saying when we jumped?"

"Nothing improtant, Lexi he's a liar. He's one of Magneto's generals and he still won't admit that your father's death was his fault, he's a liar and a coward." Dillan responds, a stern tone in his voice. "Now open the door."

Alexia uses her powers to create a key out of purple solid light. She hesitates before opening the door.

Back at Wreck's fortress a moniter turns on and Magneto appears on the screen. "Wreck, what do you want?"

"There was an attempted raid on the lab today, it was Drummond's group."

"Was it successful?" Magneto asks.

"No, in fact we killed most of them, but…" Wreck trails off.

"What is it, I don't have all day."

"Alexia Serden was with him." Wreck says in a low voice.

"Why would she be working with Drummond?" The older man asks.

"I wondered the same thing, as it turns out Drummond hasn't told her what really happened 20 years ago." Wreck says solemnly.

"I see." The screen goes black.

…you killed Dazzler. I mean, it's all interesting stuff, and I'm looking forward to the next part, but…you killed Dazzler.

I know…I know…and I feel SO bad about that.

…better not touch my Dazzler in the main continuity…or else there'll be some consequences and reprecussions…

I love Dazzler, I'd never kill her where it matters.

The Dazzler killing was fine to me, never much cared for her, but Dillan's shadiness bothers me…nah not really. It's always nice to see a good guy hiding something.

Why does Wreck need troops though? he's basically a one man army with that entropy field of his.

Wreck's lack of using entropy will come up in chapter 2 or 3.

Note: STILL HATE LIBERAL KILLING. Other than that, it was kind of short.

It was short, but I'm shooting for six issues so it will end up being longer.

616 Dazzler would just come back in the same issue.
