Settling in
Post by Valerie Sinclair on Jun 19, 2007, 7:30pm

Valerie is walking around the bus rather aimlessly. She keeps looking down at the clothes she's wearing. Basically straight up tribal clothing. She's still got her ring, but it's joined by a couple bracelets and a couple other rings.

God…we're in the middle the desert, I have none of my stuff, none of my clothes, no room on this blasted bus. What the hell am I going to do?Re: Settling in

"You're going to relax, take a deep breath, and then remember why you let it all go in the first place."

Shaman is floating down the hall behind her as he heads towards his room to make sure no one messed with his stash.Re: Settling in

Val jumps and turns around.

"…I didn't say any of that out loud, Shaman…"Re: Settling in

"You don't have to anymore, you know that. We're linked now, two souls intertwined."

He grins slightly as he drops his TK field and runs a bare hand down the side of her face.

"One of those fun little side effects."Re: Settling in

"Oh god that's right. I'm still not used to it."

Val takes his hand with a smile.

"Sorry."Re: Settling in

"As much as I hate magic, I do have to say that the old kind is the best kind."

He gives her hand a squeeze, the novelty of actual contact has yet to wear off for him.

"I don't know who's in charge of room assignments anymore, we were gone for a while, but you're welcome to crash back on my couch."Re: Settling in

"I might have to take you up on that, I don't know who to talk to…"Re: Settling in

"I'd say to ask the kid, but she's tweaking out some where. Maybe Jesse would be a decent person to ask if you find her when I'm not around, not sure she'd be all too happy to see me."

He laughs a bit.

"But what's mine is yours."Re: Settling in

"Well, I obviously wouldn't have a problem crashing in you room. Not like I have anything to keep anywhere anyway."

She laughs with him.Re: Settling in

"I think your book is stashed away with my bong still."Re: Settling in

"Yeah, I think it is. Not that I really need it as much anymore. I've got a lot of options now."Re: Settling in

"I feel ya, I was thinking more about the bong then the book anyway."

He floats closer to his room, very curious to see if it's survived his time away.Re: Settling in

"You would be."

Val punches him playfully.Re: Settling in

"Who said you could tell me what to do?"

She giggles a bit.Re: Settling in

"You did."

He points at her chest and opens his palm, some light blue sparks jumping around itRe: Settling in

Val puts her finger to her mouth.

"Sshh."Re: Settling in

"Heh, you were screaming it from mountain tops a few days ago."

He drifts towards the window and gazes out of it.

"But we had to come back, after the visions I got, they need us here."Re: Settling in

"I was screaming a lot from mountain tops, most of which I don't actually remember…"

She walks over and stands close to him.

"From what I caught of those, yeah…"Re: Settling in

Post by Shaman on Jun 20, 2007, 3:50pm

He sighs and shakes his head.

"Nothing since I got back here, I just know we're headed in the right direction. I figure let them do their thing, we'll do ours. No need to let them know just what exactly brought us back to the fold."Re: Settling in

"Yeah, that's probably for the best."

Val looks down at her feet.

"I kinda wish I'd grabbed my shoes…"Re: Settling in

"You haven't worn those things since our third day out in the desert, I figured you'd be use to it by now."Re: Settling in

"Poor baby."

He gestures her off of the ground and over to him, putting an arm around her shoulder.

"Better?"Re: Settling in

"Of course…"

She puts her arm around him.

"I never thought I'd be the type of person that preferred being outside." Re: Settling in

"I told you open air and stars beat air conditioning any day."

He looks around a bit

"And now we're back on a bus."Re: Settling in

"Yep…back on a bus, and you were right. I'm glad I went with you."
