Deadpool is sitting in the Lounge watching Golden Girls when an emergency News Report interrupts.
"Bea!? WHERE'D YOU GO?!?!?!!"
"…broadcasting live from San Francisco, California where what is being called 'race riots' have broken out over another video taped mutant beating by police. Warning, the following video is graphic."
The program shifts to a video shot by a home video camera. It shows five police officers beating a person with blue scaly skin. He's screaming for help, but…it eventually stops. The police continue beating him until he's not moving or visibly breathing.
"The young man died on the scene. Within minutes of the tape's first broadcast, mutants and mutant supporters from around the city were in the streets. Certain areas of the city are being considered war zones. Where are the Avengers or the X-Men?"
A large explosion is seen in the background, the camera falls to the ground and goes black. It cuts back to the studio.
"We seem to be experiencing some technical difficulties, please stand by."
"KIDS!" Deadpool is on his feet and yelling. "IN HERE! NOW!"

As they come outside they can see a lot of smoke and plenty of fire from inside the city. They can hear explosions every few minutes.

As the DC team enters the city, going in a different direction from the CC team. The can see tons of buildings on fire, some of them are almost ready to come down.
General Description of the area:
It's a highly populated area of the city, it's mostly houses and stores. Some larger buildings.

Bloody brilliant. I so want in.
But, alas, that's not what I'm here for.
I start animating the nondescript "loot" and having it fight it's way away from the various looters to head back to the stores.
I'll probably grab some crap later.
I try to do something similar to anybody fighting with makeshift weapons. Easier to talk down people when they don't have a wide variety of weapons to lean on.

Paige is moderately successful, the electronics and appliances all return to their stores. The jewelry on the other had likes being free.
Most of the makeshift weapons end up on the ground.
The crowd turns to face them. One of the mutants starts firing energy blasts at them.

The shield takes all the energy blasts, they were pretty weak. One of the other mutants, ups his momentum and charges at the shield. A few of the humans start picking up their weapons or new weapons. Paige gets hit with a brick.

Namely, so I can get it to start herding the fucks throwing shit away, maybe into the stores. I don't want it running anybody over… right now anyway. We had enough of that last sort of shit last mission. If it looks bloodthirsty, I shut it back off.

He then turns.

At that moment, Deadpool rounds the corner with the news crew. "Hey guys I f-shit." He stops dead when he sees Cable.

He easily takes it, after the first few hits the guy is running away. A few of the people drop quickly from the stingers, the others are definitely slowed down.

Jake watches the car hit the guy and realizes that Baby probably just saved his life, or at least kept him from getting mangled. He twists himself around to look at Abby and all it does is make him mad. But one look at Baby….

He flies over and grabs a hold of her from behind, squeezing tight despite knowing it's an incredibly stupid idea, but a look at the now unconcious Tank gives away what she's doing

Without any real protection from the concussive blast, it ripped into Abby pretty hard - her back basically looks like someone hit her with a sledgehammer. Repeatedly. Lots of bruising, a few bones sticking out, blood. Nasty.
