Update:
General: The machine has been put back in motion. Things are starting to speed up, and will probably be reaching critical mass very quickly.
Outside of the ship: Paradox took Posiedon down for good, but discovered that Sam had been buried under rubble during the Blackbird crash and ensuing battle. Sam is alive, but his breathing is shallow.
Inside the ship: The New Mutants and Zephyr have arrived in Apocalypse's chamber. All that stands between them and saving the world is one big, mean, angry immortal mutant using Celestial technology. No big deal….right? They are so fucked.
Rogue charges at Apocalypse fists flailing.
Osmosis had touched the Celestial ship and attacks Apocalypse transformed into the strange alien metal.
Zephyr hangs back, knowing Apocalypse's power. But he doesn't run away. Wreck, for once, decides that rushing in is not the way to go, so he hangs back with Zephyr. Pester also hangs back, knowing his powers aren't much against Apocalypse.
Solidity decides to take advantage of her teammates rushing, and is trying to slink around the walls to get close to Roxie. Heatwave also takes the sneaking route.
Apath freaks out at seeing Apocalypse, but gets back to his feet ready for a fight.

Reflex have been moving around Ship, dodging robotic sentries and cameras. Amazing enough, he has slipped completely under the watch of the GMs…errr.. Apocalypse. Reflex ends up coming into Apocalypse's room, behind Roxie's machine.

All right, I am starting:
As the New Mutants head towards Apocalypse, automated defense systems pop up around the room. An energy shield comes down betweem Apocalypse and the rushing New Mutants. Laser defense drop down and begin to target the attacking New Mutants. A laser blast hits Osmosis in the chest, and is refracted from the Celestial metal without hurting her. Rogue manages to dodge the lasers.
Heatwave, Solidity, and Reflex have arrived at the machine, but can't make much heads or tails on what needs to be done to stop it, especially without hurting Roxie.

Marisol stared at the machine uncertainly. It certainly had a lot of… buttons. And stuff. She glanced at her team-mates, who looked equally oblivious. Something needed to be done, though, and it might as well be her that did it.
She elongated her arms and reached for Roxanne, trying to rip her out of the machine as fast, yet gently, as she could.
She prayed there weren't any particularly strong defensive systems…

Osmosis mouthed several curse words upon the erecting of the energy shield. Coward she thought, though part of her - a part she didn't want to acknowledge - told her that it wasn't true… that he was just playing with them. As the beam refracted off of her harmlessly, Osmosis Lass considered her options. She was invulnerable to the beams… but her teammates might not be. Leaping towards the lowered automatic weapons, Nadia attempts to smash them, or rip them from the ceiling.

Osmosis easily smashes the first weapon. There are three more that she sees targetting her teammates. As she approaches the second one, energy shields form around them. The gun further from her starts seems to be changing into different configuration, and aiming itself for Osmosis's chest.

The device that is holding Roxie seems to have come from the Kirby school of mechanical design. Lots of random dials and switches that really seem to have very little to do with the function of the device. The device itself seems to have it's lower half burrowed into the earth, and it is made of a strong metal that doesn't look like something from this world. There are several metal tubes from the top machine that seem to end somewhere underground. These tubes are pretty thin, only a few inches in diameter each, but it is impossible to tell exactly what they do from this angle.
Roxie is held in place by metal bindings at the center of the device. Arcs of energy seems to be flowing from Roxie's body into the device. There is about a five second pause in the flow every thirty seconds or so.

As for the design of the machine specifically holding Roxie in place, it vaguely resembles a gyrosphere. When I was planning this out, I was thinking of the machine Rogue was inside of during the end of the first X-men movie.

Whuzzat? The third gun had taken aim but was pausing before it fired. Why? Damn… if Sentinel's possess dynamically changing weaponry, I can only imagine that alien space gods billions of years further ahead could manage the same. Grabbing the wreck of the first gun and crumpling it into as aerodynamic a form as she can manage in a couple seconds, Osmosis attempts to get out of the gun's sights and stays ready to toss the mangled metal in hopes of disrupting a shot if she can't evade. At the same time she is looking for anything mildly important - smash worthy - looking in hopes of being able to disrupt the energy shields.

Nadia looks around the room and sees a lot of control panels, but they are not marked in any language she recognizes. The gun fires at her, the laser narrowd down to a very thin, pencil like beam. She tosses the managed metal at it, and the beam burns right through, but gives her enough time to get out of the way.

While the controls are all in alien languages, Reflex is surprised to realize that he can read them! He doesn't seem anything related directly to Roxie's machine, but he does see controls for the laser weapons and the force field.

Holy… taking one of those to chest would not be fun. Ugh. Options, but none of them guaranteed and none of them safe. I guess you don't get that luxury when you're up against Apocalypse. Oh well. You only live, and die if things don't go my way, once.
Osmosis gets closer to the weapon than is probably reccomended. The energy shield has to lower for it to fire and there's no way she's about to go about her business as long as she has to worry about these suckers. Keeping moving, but never far away from the gun, she waits for the next shot so she can try to get at the gun and prays that she can dodge a pencil thin laser blast at the same time.

Apocalypse turns to look at Reflex. "You seem familiar to me." Reflex starts banging on the controls, but nothing is happening, "Fool, do you know how many times I have been betrayed by those who feign loyalty to me?" The gun tilts towards Osmosis and fires, she attempts to dodge, but in her attempt to smash it, the beam burns a hold clear through her shoulder. She does succeed in breaking the gun down though. Apocalypse applauds her efforts, "Bravery really does exist in all of Xavier's students. If only…" Apocalypse trails off thoughtfully.

Paradox teleports into the ship. He finds himself in a darkened chamber nowhere near the rest of the team. A trap! He tries to teleport out, but he collapses suddenly.
A small smile comes across Apocalypse's face. Confusing the rest of the New Mutants he says, "It is always important to have a back up plan."

Reflex ponders for a second "I vaguely remember Sinister being referred to as "Essex". Maybe that razor toothed albino did something to me. Nadia said she couldn't read the machines…yet they were crystal clear to me. And now Blue Lips' shield drops….Hmm…I wonder"
With that Reflex heads full speed towards Pooky pummeling him and trying to sap energy from him at the same time.

The scream is silent… breathless. But anybody looking at Osmosis could tell that she was in a lot of pain. As pretty much any other material she would have felt nothing but the trade off for the power of the Celestial metal was that it was alive - meaning pain receptors were in full effect. On the ground she held her shoulder. The was no blood - because she had no blood like this - and the wound would have cauterized if she did. Grabbing her shoulder accomplished nothing but… you know. Instinct. She looked up at the other weapons. No doubt the remaining couple had adapted to hurt her as well. The same tactic ought to work, but she just didn't know how many shots she could take before the pain became unbearable and she passed out or something. Then the first stroke of luck all day happens and the remaining turrets aim at Apocalypse, with the sheilds down.
Score one for our side… I guess.
Pushing through the pain, Osmosis renews her charge on Apocalypse, with the turrets backing her up instead of working against her this time.
Chances? Slim. But the others need more time to figure out the machinery around Roxy…

Reflex manages to get in several blows against Apocalypse, but his kinetic field doesn't seem to be having much of an effect. Sadly, neither do the punches. Apocalypse grabs Reflex by the neck. He lifts him to his face, "You are nothing before Apocalypse, whelp." Apocalypse twists sharply, Reflex feels numbness traveling down his body. Apocalypse casually tosses Reflex's limp body to the side.

She saw what Apocalypse did to Reflex. It made her afraid. Afraid and angry. Angry at Apocalypse for doing that to Curt. Angry at Curt for getting so close without any sort of post human durability. Angry at herself for not being faster. Osmosis kept at it after the first wave knocked Apocalypse back. She tries to keep aware of Apocalypse' hands and to stay out of his grasp, while at the same time raining blows upon him.

Osmosis considers the implications of Apocalypse being merely angry and not in actual pain, but it's far too late to back out now. She's already started. If she tried to back off, anyway, Apocalypse would probably use the opportunity to blast her. No… consequences be damned, she was in a melee with Apocalypse.
God, help me. Any of you really. Thor would be nice.

Since no one has stopped him, Heatwave rips the first tubes out. Blood squirts from Roxie's mouth and nose, but the ground suddenly stops vibrating. Apocalypse looks in that direction. He fires a pretty wide range blast that slams Roxie, Lex, and Marisol into the wall. Apocalypse starts to retreat from the room.
Roxie whispers, "Guys? Is that you?" before fading from consciousness.

Pain. Just pain.
The past ten minutes were beyond confusing. I was with Stryker, inside his head, everything was peaceful…and then I felt her. That other me. She was right there, right in front of me, and for a moment I could sense everything about her. Memories, rage, hate, Apocalypse, darkness; everything that made Calamity what she was came flooding into me, and I could feel the same thing was happening to her. It was like we were bonding, molding into something new…and then there was nothing. Nothing but pain. This terrible, shredding pain
I hear my friends fighting, hear them screaming. I open my eyes and see Reflex on the floor, lying still. I see Nadia with a hole in her shoulder. I see my friends struggling to save me.
And then I see Apocalypse, and Calamity’s memories sink in. He used me to kill countless people. He used me to fight my friends, to fight people who’ve been nothing but nice to me, who’ve been my family. Gerald might die, Reflex looks dead, and unless something really serious happens, he’ll give them all the same treatment and just keep on using me, forcing me to carry out his plans.
I want to kill this man. More than I’ve ever wanted anything in my entire life, I want him to die.

Arg! She crumpled to her knees. Not from anything Apocalypse did, but from was felt like was [Wreck at work. She felt as if she was about to start coming apart at the 'seams' but then a gust of wind blasted her out of the field's range.
Bad enough to be fighting the armaggedon personified - now I have to worry about peer kills as well. Beautiful.
Her train of thought is interrupted. By Roxie's voice. Forgetting about the rest of the world for a moment, Nadia runs over to check on Roxanne.

Marisol dragged herself to her feet and jumped to Roxanne's side. She wasn't quite sure to proceed, but she had the vague notion that she needed protection.
She lowered herself on top of her and flowed around her, then stood up again, still in her human form. Inside herself was the safest holding-place at the moment, she figured. This time, she naturally let air reach her… and made a few other accomondations to have her be comfortable.

Apocalypse drops to one knee, clutching his head, "That is enough." Parts of his body have started to rot away from Wreck's increased attack. Apocalypse fires an energy blast towards Stryker. The shot is wide, but causes Stryker to close his eyes just for a second. That is long enough to Apocalypse to teleport away, taking Reflex with him.

Far, far away from the ship, Apocalypse tosses Reflex to the ground next to Dil who is still unconscious. Apocalypse is in agony, but he knows that he only needs to hold it together for a few minutes more. Such power…in the hands of mere children. Incredible. "Lights." Apocalypse whispers.
He lifts Reflex's arm, and proceeds to rip out the device that Sinister had hid in there. This device had left Apocalypse vulnerable, but now…the one with the glasses had talked about immortality, but Apocalypse was about to show the world what immortality really means…

Apocalypse takes the device and places it on Dil's chest. Dil's temporal energy starts to flow from his body right into Apocalypse. Apocalypse had never found someone so keyed into the timestream. Well, maybe Cable, but Cable was pretty protective about his secrets. Apocalypse thought with a grim smile.

Apocalypse has all but drained Dil. Dil is still alive, but weakened and powerless. Apocalypse looks around at his chamber. And vanishes.

Mephisto extends his arms, and slowly, I see the others.
"Say goodbye. They won't miss you."
And I try to, but of course, I can't find the words. My voice is a creak, the closing of a door on rusty hinges.
Instead, I look upwards. I try to close my eyes, but I can't. The darkness is suddenly an inferno, and it's too bright to block out.
"Welcome to Hell," Mephisto cackles. And his laughter is all that I hear.

Zephyr looks out at the world. It is a real mess from Apocalypse's plan. But, also, the shape of the world seems to be changing. Below him, cities seem to be fading right before his eyes, as new things take their place. "Is that a prison camp below us?" Zephyr says pointing at one of the monitors.

Apocalypse arrives in the past. Circa, 30 years ago. He crouches down in the shadows of an alleyway. Sitting at the table of a little ourdoor cafe, it's Magneto. And Charles Xavier! Apocalypse is fading fast, but he knows this plan of his will work. He sends off a signal that only he can receive…or in this case, his younger self, "The time to move on all of our plans is right now." Apocalypse steps from the shadows and raises his hand to Xavier, "Good bye."

Nadia looks at the monitors. Cities gone. Replacements that looked decidedly post-apocalyptic had replaced them. She wanted to quip but couldn't find one.

He looks to Marisol, gives the best smile he can manage given the situation, and fades out. "Just my luck…"

For a moment, Marisol just stared at the empty spot Zephyr had vacated. She was entirely unsure of what had just happened, but there was a small seed of panic in her chest. She took an unsteady step towards his former location, but gave up on walking there.
He was gone. The fact that he wasn't the only one barely registered in her mind.

Marisol finds herself fading away too, as their timeline is swept out of existance.
But, all is not lost! This isn't the end of the New Mutants, just a break. Each of you should head over to the Age of Apocalypse board, which has a little detail about creating your temp character for our little romp through the Age of Apocalypse.

Dillan doesn't know what's going on. Having the energy drained from his body by Apoaclypse hurt like hell but he could've gone on…but now…everything was different now. He felt like he was just fading away.
"Oh God…god it hurts!" he screamed in agony, not even caring if there was anyone to hear his cry.
"Dillan, calm down! We can fix this!"
"Dillan, calm down! We can fix this!"

The words were stated over and over again, but it wasn't an echo and it was just in his head. He was saying it to himself, different versions of him at the very least. Some appeared older than him, other younger, some battle scared and grizzly while others looked as if they had never fought a battle in their life.
"WHAT DO I HAVE TO DO?" shouted Dillan as everything around him began to fade away until he was left standing amidst the nothingness with only another version of himself standing before him. His arms were outstretched and he pointed to two invisble paths. He began mouth words to Dil.
Try as he might, he couldn't read the other hims lips but he could hear his words in his mind.
There is the new world and there is the nothingness.
"What about the old world, my world!?"
There is the new world and there is the nothingness. The new world can be reshaped, and made into the old…if that is your wish, but this place, the nothingness? It is a constant unchanging realm.
"You aren't making sense! If I've got to go to the new world to get back to my home then so be it."
Enjoy the suffering.

Pester casually noted the disappearing surroundings. He figured he'd be killed at some point during his tenure as a new mutant, but disappearing from existance seemed like more of a novelty than a possibility.

Back at the X-Mansion, Volt sees the walls around begin to fade away. He can hear the gears and wires of ever machine in the room call out to him, screaming in pain as their machine voices fizzle out. He looks down at his hand, now withering away into nothing as well.

You know, I was reading over this, and I couldn't help but notice Curt confessing to have a crush on Wreck….or was that just crazyness from getting the crap beat out of him? I mean, it's fine if he does go that way, just curious where he stands…
