Darkstar's Bedroom

As one might expect from Ms. Frost, Emma's room is extravagant, lavish, and, most of all, white - the room looks like stereotypical heavy. A vanity mirror hangs on the wall, right next to a console that keeps her in contact with the bus' AI; if she needs to make a detour, she only has to say the words. She has a waterbed covered with a billowy blanket, and her reading material is placed on a small shelf. Mostly teaching material, as well as a few novels.

Laynia has quite literally cannibalised Emma's room. All of the white has been stashed away, and the room's been covered in a much more… blue shade, so much so that it's somewhat of a theme, fitting in with the black that can be found here and there in it.
The mirror has been put away as well, but the rest of the room has remained relatively untouched. To be honest, Laynia hasn't had much time to put any more of a personal touch on the room's decorum, all things considered.
Bruce is staying in the tiny side room attached to Laynia's.

I pause for a moment at the door, faltering slightly. I haven’t really given that much thought to this. I’m pretty sure this is where I belong. With the Hellions. And yet, it’s not the Hellions I know. Wildfire’s on the Australia team, and without Kidd, nothing’s the same.
I’ve already been standing out here for a couple of minutes, and now it’s just getting silly. Standing outside this door, not doing anything but thinking, that is. I knock lightly on the door.

I open the door and walk in. Slow steps; slower than they usually would be. It’s hard not to be a little nervous around Ms. Frost. It’s her presence… there’s something about it. Something special. Slightly awe-inspiring. But I’m only slightly nervous.
Why? Well, I probably should be more nervous, but she’s always been too nice for me to be that nervous.

It's a worrying offer. Just a little. The only reason for that is because I have no idea what she'll find.
Maybe I'm a little scared to know. But I can trust her. I always can. So I just give a quick shake of my head to show her I don't mind.

The last time that Emma peered into Kelly’s mind, there was a fairly distinct dissonance. A level of discord prominent enough to overpower Kelly’s sense of self at the time. It’s progression regressed after Emma limited Kelly’s access to her empathy (which Emma noticed was now almost entirely absent from Kelly's mental plane), but there was one last surge in its development after Kidd’s death. It had certainly been something developing from despair. A parasitical virus that had never belonged, but had been forced into place.
It was no longer there. The state of Kelly’s mind now more akin to a harmony, was still tainted by the former presence of the cancer. However, it was far healthier than it had been in a long time. This was not to say that there was not conflictions within her mental plane. There were countless subconscious restrictions applying to Kelly's abilities. Holes could be seen everywhere, oddly imperceptible when inspected closely, but when the entire plane was taken under consideration, they were painfully obvious. And there was still some strange sense of influence about it all.

"Anything serious?” I repeat, mirroring her confusion. “Would you believe that I don’t remember? Well, not all of it, at least…"
A sigh and a deep breath, and I answer the question. A little tentatively at first; it seems stupid for me to have trusted them now. But with everything said and done, hindsight's 20:20.
“I deluded myself into believing that Kidd wasn’t gone, and I- well, I went to try and find something- some way to get to her. Help her. I don’t even know anymore… I trusted some people that I shouldn’t. Did some things for them. Saw some things I wish I hadn’t.
Then… I don’t remember anything until it’s like I wake up again, in some temple or something, with me leaning over myself, with a dagger in hand… she was a little crazy… strong, too. Too strong for me. I kind of blacked out then. It… it's all fuzzy. Hard to remember. And it gets harder all of the time; all of it but what came next. It- It's like it's fading. Getting more and more distant every day. Like… I'm sure I could remember more if it yesterday, and now? Well, for the majority of it, I just don't have a clue. Like, I don't even know who I was caught up with, anymore. What I was caught up in.
A little after I came too, I saw Kidd. Spoke with her. And then she went again. That’s pretty much what I remember.”
I scratch the back of my head nervously, and my gaze wavers from her eyes.
“I’m not crazy, I swear…”

"I'm not saying you are." Emma seems…concerned, but not too much so. Not as much as one would expect. "Kelly, whatever happened - I trust you did the right thing. You've always been a sweet, caring girl - perhaps too sweet, but sweet. I think the best thing you can do is just rest for a while, take some time to make sense of things."

Before Laynia even anywhere near the door, a Darkforce arm forms where she lost hers. It’s almost a subconscious action now, and she never leaves her room with her arm… bare. Lacking. Empty.
It just wouldn’t do. She wouldn’t be whole.
She opens the door a little sleepily and with a terrible headache – probably the effects of the night before that she drank away, talking about home with Darya.

"Darya’s fun. A nice girl. She drinks more than I do. Just a bit of a headache, really… I’m not sure if it’s from the hangover, or from not really taking care of myself after being shot in the head, and relying on the Darkforce to heal me." She shrugs uncharacteristically, and does stumble this time.
"Doesn’t matter too much either way."

She takes a smoke.
"Kelly's murderer, appeared suddenly. He went into the room and probably stood there for a while, talking to her. Then he punched her, Kelly fell to the floor. The murder then started punching her again and again, several times, before her skull cracked. After that he ran out of the room and his footprints suddenly disappear again. I'm working off the lead that the killer is a teleporter, perhaps someone who knew Kelly. What we have here is a person capable of teleportation, evil enough to kill her, and probably knew her from her days in the Hellfire club."

If he murdered Kelly, it would be alot different."

Laynia watches her unflinchingly and takes a step forwards, a long, thin tendril lacing out from her back and taking a hold of Darya's arm, immobilising it.

Another tendril shoots out, taking a towel and wiping the blood from Darya's hand, before tearing a strip off of a shirt in the closet and wrapping it around her hand.
"We'll get it stitched up in a moment."

"I'm not entirely sure that would be the case. The room is filled with Darkforce energy. He would likely detect any entrance before you could make a move. If he feels threatened enough, you could be risking a trip to the Darkforce."

The two chunks of clown melt and reform into two smaller, fully functioning clowns. The blood turns plaid, permanently altering the walls, and the spots on Darya's skin where the blood spattered her. The two clowns speak in unison.

A bottle of seltzer appears in his hands and fires at Laynia's face, missing by inches. It blows out the rear wall.

It's obvious that Laynia gets a little apprehensive for a moment - not frightened, but she isn't in good shape for a fight, and she doesn't want to have to hurt Darya. She likes the girl. Something isn't a consideration much nowadays for Laynia. Something that she doesn't get the chance to make much of a consideration.
As such, she's relatively relieved when Darya settles.

A heavy drinker, a smoker, a person who runs from place to place with no plans of hope for her future? A person who just starts fights for the sake of fighting. Kelly too, she wanted me to find a hope to release the anger. But a person like me doesn't deserve a home, and the anger I have is never going to disappear, no matter what I do."
Looking at her injured hand.
"That compassion you told me to enjoy, I think I'm going to lose that soon too. Because when I find her killer, I know I'll kill him. I won't stop myself."

"Letting? Who the hell have you let die, girl? How could you have stopped this? You weren’t even there, and you couldn’t have known. You couldn’t have known about your father, either. You had every right to leave, and I’m not going to listen to you do this!" she snaps again.
"You want to do well by your father? Get a damn education, then! Go to the mansion, and get a damn education."
She sighs and pushes against the nearest wall with her real hand, leaning against it.
"I’m not going to let you kill anyone, Darya…"

"The killer's not on the bus, whether or not it's Shades or someone else. I'll be leaving to find him again soon and after that… I don't know. If you want to try to stop me from leaving, fine."

As one might expect from Ms. Frost, Emma's room is extravagant, lavish, and, most of all, white - the room looks like stereotypical heavy. A vanity mirror hangs on the wall, right next to a console that keeps her in contact with the bus' AI; if she needs to make a detour, she only has to say the words. She has a waterbed covered with a billowy blanket, and her reading material is placed on a small shelf. Mostly teaching material, as well as a few novels.
